Yet another reason for why Apple should've left the iPhone 6 & 6Plus slightly thicker. Just a few millimetres would've solved the protruding camera problem, given you more battery life, and bendgate wouldn't exist — or at least become less common.

I can feel his pain, while I sit here writing this post and waiting for tomorrow to roll by so I can pick-up my own iPhone 6.

iPhone 6 Will Include "One-Handed Mode"

The New York Times:

To deal with concerns that a bigger phone will make typing with one hand difficult (the current iPhone has a 4-inch screen), some changes to the design of the iPhones’ software interface will allow people to type or use apps with just one hand — there will be a one-handed mode that can be switched on and off, two employees said.

I guess that's how Apple will justify the increase in screen size on the next iPhone(s), after being opposed to larger screens for years due to the argument that single-handed use wasn't worth sacrificing in favor of a bigger screen on a phone.

Apple Stock After An iPhone Announcement

An interesting chart by CNN Money, showcasing how Apple's stock price behaves one month after an iPhone announcement. Interestingly, the only instance where Apple's stock rose in iPhone history was in 2011, when Apple announced the iPhone 4S — otherwise known as the most disappointing iPhone announcement, in my opinion. The chart shows how the iPhone 5 affected Apple stock as well, which I wrote about two weeks ago: 'Looking Back At How Apple's Stock Dropped from Its All-Time High & Its Recovery'.

Round 'True Tone' Flash Leaked

I usually hate reporting on leaks, but this leak in particular caught my attention. Remember the supposed iPhone 6 rear shell that got leaked a while ago? One of the main arguments against its validity of the leak was that Apple wouldn't possibly abandon the True Tone flash it introduced with the iPhone 5S. The leaked rear shell had a round cutout for the flash while the iPhone 5S's True Tone flash was pill shaped. I'm still not quite sure why so many people were confused but, as I assumed, the True Tone flash is just circular now, as this leak proves.

Also, since I'm on the topic of leaks...

Next, people will be disappointed to see the iPhone 6 retain the antenna breaks from the rear shell leaks. I'm sure we would've seen a new leak if Apple truly had plans for a different iPhone 6 design. I'll admit, I'm not the happiest with the design direction from the leaks but, I'm sure that I'll fall in love with it once I see the device in person — just as I did with the iPhone 5. So, just accept it and save your judgments until you can hold the device in your own hands.

Video Proves iPhone 6 Sapphire Glass Isn't Perfect

The main takeaway is that the front panel Apple will supposedly use for the iPhone 6 isn't indestructible. Neither sapphire glass used in the panel nor Gorilla Glass can withstand being rubbed with sandpaper but, sapphire is more resistant to scratching - as it should be. Since sapphire is higher than sandpaper on Mohs Scale, it shouldn't have been scratched, meaning the new iPhone probably won't use pure sapphire but a mixture containing sapphire. A mixture of materials will also alow the panel to be more flexible.

As for the "not indestructible" part, you'll just have to watch the video and see for yourself.
